, , , , ,

There was this moment
Where I let myself
Flow onwards
So that I may swim
Through the waves
Of my own mind.
(My thoughts
Have been crashing onshore lately.)
And yes, I saw the seaweed,
Clusters of wreckage,
And the colder lakes my tears filled
With despair.

The seas were polluted with sorrow.

But I also saw beauty
In the unknown, deeper
Whirlpools of hope.

I’m sure
If you dived deep enough down,
You’d see it too.
You may never be able
To produce proof for mankind;
To capture it
For the world to know too-

That is to say that
While they may only ever see
Muddled waters of death,
I see only
Oceans of life.
