We’ll shed our Winter Skin
And walk away
Alive.
Spring Shadows swarm
Taunting those definite
Good-byes.
Promises
All the promises
Never meant a thing.
The Warmth is dancing-
Delivering-
Good-lucks for the future.
She’ll crumble-
As she did before;
Broken and on her own
Again.
Don’t look back
And she won’t fall-
Close the Doors,
Lock away every
Key.
Carry her in your arms-
Entice her with your
“Maybes.”
Believe-
And maybe she’ll get out
Without this sorrow
On her conscience.
No, it’s not over-
Please,
Take your time.
That Darkness before Dawn
Bares no more Light
Than before.
Wasted World
That we thought Brand New
Opens up our lives-
Persudes and persecutes
Till we sucumb
To numbness.
Those Winners-
Once Losers-
Scratch out the surface
And remain
Misunderstood.
If there’s ever
Something to say-
This is the time
To say it.
And I’d wait
All the longer.
Yet you float to fly away.
You float to fly away;
To leave me.
You float-
Yet you were already
Gone.
